We all have seen the Tumblr communicate about forbidding nsfw blogs or those which have “adult” posts.
They think it won’t cause them any harm, but we are a really big part of the community. Let’s act and tell the staff that tumblr will slowly die after taking this decision. Follow these steps:
- First of all, REBLOG THIS POST, so any NSFW blog can post and see it.
- Give tumblr the worst mark at the App Store or Play Store
- Write a negative comment about how they’re banning accounts and censoring the freedom of expression.
- Purpose as a comment below a new site to move as a NSFW community.
If you do this before the 17 of December, we can change this decision. Let’s make the staff hear us. Make tumblr great again, a free place for free minds and free content!!
Personally, I enjoyed every single moment here at tumblr, and I appreciate everyone of my followers and blogs that I follow. If they delete my account… It was a pleasure to know you all. But we can still change this!!!

I’ve said many times that kink isn’t my life. That while I have a dominant personality, “Dominant” does not define me, it’s not who/all that I am.
When people say, “this isn’t a game, it’s a life.” I’ve always scoffed, because it’s such a small thing in reality, and it could be lost so easily.
I’m seeing a bit of that now with tumblr. I’ve been contacted by so many who think every follower will abandon them the moment they can’t post porn anymore.
Don’t get me wrong, I like porn, that’s what initially brought me here, but if you’re going to stop following me simply because there isn’t nudity on my blog, that’s your loss, not mine.
And that’s what I would like to pass on to some of you who have messaged me, and to those who haven’t but are worrying silently.
If people stop following your blog because it now lacks nudity, if they aren’t going to remain loyal because you share ideals, humor, and interests beyond porn, then are you really losing anything?
I think many of you will be surprised at how many people want to still see your sfw posts, your responses, your opinions, and your thoughts. The porn you reblogged didn’t make you interesting or fun. There is porn everywhere, but your followers followed you for a reason.
Yeah, but a lot of people want both. That’s what made Tumblr special - that you could have both. And I think many people, myself included, won’t want to remain on a platform that won’t cater to that. It has nothing to do with you, even. Just that people want to spend their time someplace where people don’t have to pretend a huge part of who they are doesn’t exist.
After the switch, you are asking people to come back and check this shitty place that kicked them out with a two week notice, just for you. Because you didn’t feel like doing the work of relocating someplace else. Because you’re comfortable just where you are.
Isn’t that a lot to ask for?
both good points. having been at BDSMLR for a few days… it’s going to be fine for US. Tumblr will become something different. It may go the way of AOL and Myspace. (ok i do hope they fall flat! LOL) But I like having a place where the common interest is real people exploring what they get turned on by and what they think about sex and what they fantaszie about. Bdsmlr has the same basic structure and format as what we’ve grown accustomed to. so it preserves the feel of THIS… so I will probably focus there and my own blog.
